Abstract

AMARAL, Raquel Aires do; MORAES, Charlote Wagner  and  OSTERMANN, Germana Tagliaro. Taking care of who takes care:: employees of a General Hospital. Rev. SBPH [online]. 2010, vol.13, n.2, pp.270-281. ISSN 1516-0858.

Abstract This essay has the main goal to discuss the taking care of “who takes care of others”, as well as the main importance of developing studies towards people who work at the hospital. The study was made from the experience of a group of Psychology students, at the Emergency Room´s employees in a general hospital near Porto Alegre (RS). The health workers at the hospital, who work daily with pain and suffer, may result a great deal of work-out and stress. So, making ways to decrease this tension may be shown as a good strategy. This way, we understand that experiences with employees might give the workers a place of “taking care of who takes care” as well as professional and personal development.
