Abstract

FERRAZ, Wagner de Angeli. The laughter: from madness to clinic.. Cogito [online]. 2009, vol.10, pp.83-90. ISSN 1519-9479.

In a dialogue with philosophy, literature and literary review, this article tries to analyse the relations between psychoanalysis and humour. In order to carry out this analisys a distinction among three concepts must be made: comic; jokes and humour. This distinction is based on laughter's effects on subjectiveness in social field, as well as in clinical field. Humour amplifies the existence and enables new ways of thinking, thus it makes possible libertarian subjectiveness. This article suggests that humour (and love) pervades clinical environment.

Keywords : Humour; laughter; clinic; libertarian subjectiveness.
