Abstract

POLLO, Vera. How to respond the symptom which is a "body event"?. Stylus (Rio J.) [online]. 2013, n.27, pp.29-41. ISSN 1676-157X.

This paper begins with the question: "How to answer to the symptom that is a body's happening?" and follows by three response's ways: the interpretation, the symptom and the body, from object to event. The first way mentions Freud's distinction between interpretation and construction and goes through many Lacan's definitions, concluding on the importance of the sonority to the interpretation and to the symptom. In the second way, after some definitions of the symptom, it is presented and discussed a work that brings the expression "new symptoms" and reports to the so called "Okatu syndrome". This part of the text also mentions the subjects that are captured by virtual world and the young people that do "cutting". The third part develops some conceptions of the body, from the object to the event. In the final paragraphs there are some considerations about science and capitalism discourses and psychoanalytical bet.
