Abstract

The aim of this research was to identify the types of discrimination coping more usual to homoafective orientation people, and to examine the adhesion of the type of locus of control utilized for explain the lives happened, and to analyze the relations between types of coping and locus of control. 31 homoafective orientation people of Aracaju (SE) take part in this study. The instruments utilized were the Ways of Coping Scale and the Locus of Control scale. The most coping strategies were focus of problem and social support, to explain the causality the participants pointed intern locus of control. The intern locus of control presented positive correlation with problem focus (p<.01) and social support (p<.05), the extern locus of control presented positive correlationed to emotion focus (p<.01) and religiosity inquiry (p<.05).
