In its current meaning, the expression emergency care announces the existence of an emergency. Psychological Emergency Care is a care mode that makes it possible to face the challenge of attending a larger number of people, at the moment they need it, helping them to deal with their resources and limits in a better way, thus expanding the resources available in Mental Health. This study presents fragments of care delivered during a training period at the Psychological Emergency Care Unit of the Universidade Paulista, São José do Rio Pardo Campus, to illustrate the possibilities of this care mode.
