Abstract

Violence is a social phenomenon and a public health problem. Part of this violence found in families is called of Marital Violence. However, in some cases, it is just about women being viewed as victims and men as their aggressors; without the perspective that the opposite can happen too. Therefore, this work proposed a bibliometric review about Marital Violence, where the man appears as the victim and the woman as his possible aggressor. In a sample of 64 articles, 42 compared rates of violence between women and men; 9 articles presented the proposal to discuss same in homo affective relations and only 16 articles proposed any type of intervention. So, this research presents the idea of expanding the analyses of Marital Violence and the possibility of men being victim in some cases to this peculiar violence
