CUNICO, Sabrina Daiana; PIZZINATO, Adolfo; STREY, Marlene Neves and COSTA, Angelo Brandelli. Stigma and Construction of the Territory of Persons Deprived of Liberty and their Families. Rev. Subj. This qualitative and exploratory-descriptive study aimed to discuss the circulation of prisoners' relatives in prison and the community, as well as to reflect on the construction of these territories and stigma. The information collection took place in two distinct moments: the first included observations from the participants on the days meant for children to enter the institution, and the second comprised semi-structured interviews with 12 inmates, who were deprived of their freedom for at least, six months, and his parents. The analysis of the collected information took place through critical discourse analysis. The results identified that the crime-prison link is far from being linear, nor is the relationship between what is inside and what is outside the prison space, because, due to the contagion of the stigma, the relatives of individuals deprived of freedom are always subjectively in the category inside, even outside physically.
