Abstract

With the analysis of the topped best-seller Fifty Shades of Gray, the author tries to understand the excitement caused among women for the book and its characters. She starts questioning the possible psychic structure of the main character, subject of constant debate in some feminine circles. Then, using the concept of fantasy and enjoyment, she discusses the interest shown by the plot involving a sadistic and masochistic relation, and the positions of dominator/submitted, to finally speak about nowadays sexual meetings.
