Abstract

FONSECA, Maria Carolina Bellico. From trauma to passage to the act. Estud. psicanal. [online]. 2015, n.43, pp.89-96. ISSN 0100-3437.

The author discusses the relationship between passage to the act and trauma within the possibility of the first being a response to the second. She outlines a brief evolution of the concept of trauma in psychoanalysis, from its definition as “a thrilling increase in the nervous system” connected to the facts until its formulation as an experience of a ruthless real, impossible to be anticipated, which excludes the subject and in which the Other and his desire are implicated. In addition, she speaks about lacanian’s acontributions to the concept of passage to the act, marking the difference between it and acting out and deepens the discussion through a case of psychosomatic phenomenon.

Keywords : Trauma; Passage to the act; Acting Out; Psychosomatic phenomenon; Enjoyment.
