RICCA JUNIOR, Jorge. The body and the text of the city. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2009, vol.32, n.48, pp.118-129. ISSN 0101-3106.
The city can be understood as a body that supports the text of its history. Constituted by the tissue of blocks, streets, squares and parks, the construction of the city, collective work par excellence, derives from its past, which is preserved in images, and from designs that express its dreams and desires. In this process, some buildings remain and keep messages in its body. To further develop the idea, the city of São Paulo is taken as an example.
