Abstract

MARTINS, Eduardo de São Thiago; LEITE, Rodrigo Lage; PORTO, Tiago da Silva  and  NETTO, Oswaldo Ferreira Leite. Psychoanalysis and homosexuality: from the medical morality appropriation to its expropriation. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2014, vol.36, n.57, pp.163-177. ISSN 0101-3106.

Instigated by the social demonstrations of June 2013 against the "gay healing project", this paper concentrates, from a Michel Foucault's perspective, on the psychoanalysis' historical and conceptual movements of medical morality appropriation and expropriation of homosexuality. Conceiving sexuality as a platform of dissection and defense of the psychoanalytic thought, the authors ponder over the pertinence of the subject in the psychoanalytic institution everyday life.

Keywords : Psychoanalysis; Homosexuality; Medical morality appropriation; Prejudice; Psychiatry.
