Abstract

FLORES, Juan. The American Regional Meeting of IFPS In Cuba and the tasks of the Federation. Reverso [online]. 2017, vol.39, n.74, pp.21-27. ISSN 0102-7395.

The recent meeting of the regional section of IFPS, held in Havana, Cuba, in February of 2017, has generated a reflection not only on the theme that had brought us to the meeting, but also on the complexities of the rebirth of psychoanalysis in Cuba and the impacts upon its theoretical and clinic praxis. The meeting has also allowed us to discuss problems related to every institution and the forms under which this conflict unfolds in the psychoanalytic institution. Under this perspective, some paths are suggested concerning the challenges IFPS is expected to face in the coming times.

Keywords : Psychoanalysis; Institution; Cuba; IFPS; Future.
