The paper intends to discuss the notion of transference in the clinical practice with children in reference to two major clinical concepts: the first one base on a clinic of the neuroses, where the Oedipus and the Castration Complex appear to be the most important references; and the second one which is based on a clinic of the negative and absence as postulated by A. Green. A clinical vignette is described in order to analyze the two clinical concepts.
