Abstract

BARBOSA, Marielle Kellermann. The observation of the nameless baby: psychotic transference in the baby's observation, possibilities and limitations. J. psicanal. [online]. 2014, vol.47, n.86, pp.167-180. ISSN 0103-5835.

This article discusses the experience of observing a baby where the observed baby neither has space in the eyes of the observer nor a given name by its mother. This study describes a situation of observation marked by the idiosyncrasies of Brazilian social issues: social vulnerability, stigma, the use of psychoactive substances, and violence. This work points out the strength of the transference produced by the therapeutic framework, the formation of a psychotic transference and discusses the limits of that relationship and its relevance in the creation of the analytic identity.

Keywords : baby observation; psychotic transference; vulnerability; society; formation of the psychoanalyst.
