SANTOS, Pedro Luís Tizo and BITENCOURT, Leandro Carvalho de. Psychodrama, ethics and the other. Rev. bras. psicodrama [online]. 2019, vol.27, n.2, pp.174-185. ISSN 2318-0498. https://doi.org/10.15329/2318-0498.20190020.
The issue of ethics is present in the life of the psychologist and in the daily life of every psychotherapist, psychodramatist or not. Provoked by issues found in professional practice and through a bibliographic research of the meaning of the term ethics in the scope of Psychodrama, and its confrontation with ethics proposed by Emanuel Levinas, philosopher of ethics, the authors of this article articulate the true meaning of ethics present on Jacob Levy Moreno’s thought, and how it serves as basis for the morenian concept of Man-God and, consequently, all practice and fundamental points of the theory. Finally, the necessity of a constant openness to ethical thinking becomes clear.
