Abstract
MANZI FILHO, Ronaldo. A brief archaeology of the concept of joy in Lacanian clinic. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2012, vol.46, n.4, pp.173-184. ISSN 0486-641X.
The concept of joy in Lacan's clinic is a complex one that involves the assimilation of various theories, whether of the utilitarians, sociologists or jurists. It is a concept that also shares an ethical, political and aesthetic dimension. However, by incorporating a concept of such different spheres, the psychoanalyst certainly incorporates more than he intended to, for there is always a vestige of these spheres in the understanding of joy. This article seeks to show a small draft or a short "chapter" of the history of this concept as suggested by a passage from his Seminar VII, in which the psychoanalyst examines Antigone.
