Abstract

PELLA, Lucas Monteiro; COGOGRZEBIELUCKA, Aline; SANTO, Amanda Dal  and  ZAMBENEDETTI, Gustavo. "The Tinder stall": an experience report about STI/HIV prevention amongst the university community. Aletheia [online]. 2020, vol.53, n.2, pp.130-141. ISSN 1413-0394.  https://doi.org/10.29327/226091.53.2-10.

This is an experience report about the project "Prevention: it is a pleasure to talk about it", whose aim is to promote an action plan for the prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) amongst the university community. Grounded on a peer education approach, 6 workshops were conducted with health science students, and they culminated in an intervention called The Tinder Stall. This intervention was carried out at a public university in the state of Paraná, and it aimed at expanding the project’s outreach, giving rise to a discussion on sexuality, vulnerability and prevention through a participative and ludic approach amongst the university community. We discussed the project results, highlighting the social imaginary surrounding Aids, the vulnerability related to specific populations, the effectiveness of both the peer education methodology and the use of sexual scenes as a preventive device.

Keywords : Prevention; Sexually Transmitted Infections; Vulnerability.
