Abstract

The present paper aims at examining love in Freudian theory, by supporting the hypothesis that it can be approached according to Lacan's axiom of the unconscious structured as a language. Therefore, we put in relief some of the different forms of love as far as Freud's theory is concerned and their relations to the concepts of transference, economic processes, drive, narcissism and sexuality in order to indicate the structure of love as a phenomenon field with forthcomings and withdrawals concerning the aforementioned concepts.
