Abstract

This "sui generis" magazine has been in existence for 28 years, including one scientific unit and another Academic. Its publication, which has reached number 75, is done with strict punctuality. The author of this work has been its Editor for 10 years, which can assure you accuracy to the data displayed here. The objectives of the review are of historical nature and related to the progress of psychology in Brazil, especially in the state of Sao Paulo, relating to the purposes of the Sao Paulo Academy of Psychology, entity to which it belongs. A brief report of this fellowship is made with evidence of their links to the reporting period. Its basic units include: the scientific, which includes the history of psychology, theories and empirical research, reports of experience and case studies; and the Academic, which refers to events of the Academy and the records of continuous professional contributions of its members. Reviews, general information and obituaries complete the contents of the bulletin. In this context, the most significant contributions are presented, especially the legacy of the pioneers of psychology in Brazil, constant subject of the numbers being published. The history of the magazine is analysed according to the periods of Management Board of the Academy. Initially, it was an information manual, then went to the scientific and historical context of psychology, not forgetting the academic units. It is concluded that this work indicates accurate contributions to the progress of the Brazilian scientific production.
