This article aims to discuss the playful activities conducted by "PET/Health NETWORKS - Urgency and Emergency" monitor students in a pediatric ward of an urgency hospital. Due to the lack of a playroom and the shortage of playful activities, reading and painting were proposed to the children admitted at this location. During the interventions, the need for permanent existence of these activities was very evident, as well as a unique place to work the playful aspect. With the evolution of the approaches, the children were more euphoric, communicative and participatory, while the monitor students could also develop their communication skills and abilities to form bond. Besides benefiting children and students, the entire process made the local health service more humanized.
