The coronavirus pandemic exposed the imminence of fear, uncertainty and a sense of helplessness. Studies show that health professionals have been showing emotional and physical symptoms that can cause damage to their Mental Health. Therefore, the aim of this study, in a literature review format, with a focus on psychoanalytic contributions, was to seek to reflect on the suffering of health professionals in the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the possibilities of interventions and care for the suffering of these workers. We sought to integrate studies on the impacts of Covid-19 on the Mental Health of health workers, associating them with theoretical contributions on recognized initiatives in times of crisis and tragedy such as the Brazilian civil dictatorship, Boate Kiss, Bento Rodrigues and in Brumadinho. After all, they reveal that the intervention and care strategies that provide spaces for speech, narrative and testimony are fundamental in the construction of the elaboration and resignification of an event with traumatic potential. It was concluded that such forms of care need to be continuous and should be offered to health professionals in this pandemic moment, taking care of the Mental Health of these workers.
