Political Sophistication is frequently analyzed in the scientific literature on political behavior. However, variations in its conceptualization and measurement, with the use of instruments that assume a multidimensional approach being rare. Therefore, we carried out an instrumental study addressing two cognitive dimensions (Differentiation and Conceptual Integration), innovating in the measurement of the first and integrating techniques (word association and argument categorization) in the second. The analyzes of the internal structure, reliability and relationship between dimensions show the potential of the instrument to be used in different contexts, facilitating the integration and comparison of data both national and international scale.
