Abstract

SILVA, Jackeline Oliveira; MELO, Nedir Santana de  and  VASCONCELOS, Ana Cláudia Leal de. The invisible cunning of school workers women. Psicol. rev. (Belo Horizonte) [online]. 2014, vol.20, n.3, pp.427-445. ISSN 1677-1168.  https://doi.org/DOI-10.5752/P.1678-9523.2014v20n3p427.

The work done by servants and school cafeteria workers in public schools is socially characterized by invisibility and devaluation in these activities which are considered manuals, domestic and naturalized as feminine attributes. However, these professionals possess a knowledge that goes beyond norms and requirements, ensuring the achievement of work essential to the functioning of schools. Aiming to reflect on the demonstration of practical intelligence of these workers a documentary research was conducted, substantiated by theoretical Psychodynamics of Work. It was found in this research that workers elaborate original and creative solutions to deal with the contradictions of using their intelligence for practices that are learned during the act of work. By making use of this intelligence they can successfully carry out their activities and reduce the possibility of decompensation psychic or somatic, even in the face of poor working conditions ,inferior work organization and deleterious to health
