The following work aims at discussing categories reflecting difference and contingency within the current formation process related to lacanian psychoanalysts. It is argued how contingent aspects involved in the formation process of the analyst make it possible a greater (or lesser) acceptance of difference in clinical aspects but also referring to the social bond. The first topic will present difference and contingency categories within a logical approach, namely, the sexuation logic, which is here articulated with functioning modes of psychoanalyst institutions. Secondly, following. The testimonial of a psychoanalyst about her own formation process, it is seen that the desire o acquire a differential is produced as an upshot from the analysis path. Finally, it is shown that difference and contingency do not end their trail within the context of formation institutions, but conclusions reached in this work extend to psychoanalyst practice in other available institutions in the culture.
