Abstract
ZAGO, Maria Cristina; TERZIS, Antonios and PADILHA, Bruneide Menegazzo. Unconscious communication between singular and plural: a psychiatric outpatients group. Rev. SPAGESP [online]. 2014, vol.15, n.1, pp.04-16. ISSN 1677-2970.
This study presents a "relational-game" of a group of psychiatric outpatients with severe mental illness who gather to perform physical activities at a Social Center. The aim of this research was to investigate a group technique named Group of Physical Activities as favorable to the perception of others as relational objects. The group was small, open, heterogeneous (diagnosis and age; 16 patients, age range: 27-56 years) and mixed (gender). The technique includes (a) walking (round-trip to the Social Center); (b) collective physical activity; (c) symbolic elaboration moment (space for reflection, symbolisation and elaboration of the group experiences). It was concluded that the group technique has fostered intersubjectivity under an unconscious perspective. In addition, is has led to the movement of recognizing objects belonging to an external reality and intrapsychic implications (related to the organization of internal groups) towards a shared reality.
