This article describes the development of a brief intervention with clients preparing for retirement and the results of the evaluation of satisfaction by the participants. The intervention was done in group, with only one session, which lasted three hours, followed by three monitoring follow-ups. Forty-one civil servants, aged between 22 and 60 years, participated in the intervention and the follow-up. The results showed that the intervention was perceived as supportive of positive emotions, encouraged the acquisition of new knowledge, and change of group interaction. Participants expressed satisfaction with the interaction among palls and the strategies employed and dissatisfaction with the small number of sessions and the repeated use of measures. Among the suggestions for improvement are: increasing the workload and the inclusion of virtual meetings.
