Abstract

SERRALHA, Conceição Aparecida. The ethics of care and the actions in health and education. Winnicott e-prints [online]. 2011, vol.6, n.1, pp.15-36. ISSN 1679-432X.

This study, based on the development theory of Winnicott, aims to discuss the nature and the quality of the care to the individual, the characteristics of the care environment and its relation with the culture in which it is inserted and is influenced by. From experiences in extension and research activities carried out with professionals of child education and of health, and also relatives of children in the first and second childhood, this study still discusses how the care has occurred in these environments and in the actions in health and education with the families. For that, readings of winnicotian texts and other authors were done. Also, observations of the environments of the child and meetings with the professionals of this area were analized, qualitatively. It is understood that, towards the difficulty of the offer of sufficiently facilitator family environments, many actions, influenced by public politics, have been undertaken. However, although these actions are necessary to the survival of the individuals to whom they are destined to, they don" t offer a care that makes the psychosomatic development possible to them.
