Abstract

VIGANO, Carlo. The psychiatric reformation and the psychoanalitical action. Mental [online]. 2006, vol.4, n.6, pp.41-49. ISSN 1679-4427.

The article talks about the way the psychiatric institutions deal with the society changes after the stablisment of the Italian law nº 180. It also shows how the psychoanalysis can contribute with the practices in the institutions. It analyzes its services privatization, in which the citizen is annulled and the capital appears. It confirms that when the treatment is transformed into a consumer good it protects the society, changing the treatment objective (to treat the citizen). It considers a clinic that integrates the biological factor and the word. This kind of clinic allows the ethic of the lack and this ethic is not limited to the scientific knowledge neither to the law.

Keywords : Psychiatric reform; Institutions; Psychoanalysis; Integration; Citizen.
