Abstract

In this work, it is approaches the subject of the reading and its direct relation with the understanding, being understood the importance of the reading within the educative field and as a vital tool to accede to the knowledge and the construction of the reality, since it is a vital competition in the processing of information and generation of other competitions such as the analysis, the imagination, the deduction, the reading of codes, symbols, among others. Some models are approached in addition on the reading understanding, from the models of bottom up, top down and the mixed models, of such way was showed the levels of reading understanding from macrostructures to microstructures that give account of the processes that take part in the profit of that understanding and the classification of these processes in those of perceptive nature, the basic psychological processes, the cognitive-linguistic processes and finally the affective processes.
