Abstract

ROMERO CROCE, Jesús. The health policies in the Peru: A critical look. Liberabit [online]. 2006, vol.12, n.12, pp.79-85. ISSN 1729-4827.

This article has the purpose to analyze the health policies established by Health Ministry in our country. It started on the premise that this policies, in essence, are the execution of superior national entities, like WHO and PAHO. A critical view about these entities shows that they start from the absence of clarity around the notion of health, because they define it such as an illness intervention acts. It states, that the medical model is still ruling although it was vilify. This analysis, applies, on the way, to the self named Health Psychology just as the Mental Health notion, taking as reference specialty information, science’s contests researches and some administrative dossiers. It concludes that is required to redefine the Health Psychology as a Men science.
