Abstract

This is a test, which exemplifies the use of applied psychoanalysis as a methodological tool to the understanding of literary productions. In this case, it is proposed to the primal scene, the parental coitus in the light of the child’s eyes as the core argument of Mario Vargas Llosa’s work. It relies, on special, on the analysis of one of its most celebrated stories, "The Challenge".
