Abstract

MELO, João Carlos. Does group analysis need the neurosciences?  . Vínculo [online]. 2006, vol.3, n.3, pp.13-20. ISSN 1806-2490.

In this paper, the author presents a speculative hypothesis, which considers the functioning of the "mirror neurons" as part of the neurophysiologic correlate of the Resonance phenomenon in Group analysis. Based on this hypothesis, he reflects on the role, that the knowledge drawn from the neurosciences, may have in Group analysis, namely in its identity and in the place that it may occupy in the comprehension of psychic functioning

Keywords : Group analysis; Resonance; Mirror neurons.
