PELISOLI, Cátula and PICCOLOTO, Luciane Benvegnu. Prevention of child sexual abuse: cognitive-behavioral strategies in school, family and community. Rev. bras.ter. cogn. [online]. 2010, vol.6, n.1, pp.108-137. ISSN 1808-5687.
This study aimed to review the strategies used for the prevention of child sexual abuse and the results found in previous studies. The sexual abuse of children and adolescents is a public health problem, which occurs in all cultures and at all times, leaving many victims with deleterious consequences for their development. Given the huge public cost and the impacts that this violence causes to victims, families and society, this work presents a proposal for prevention based on cognitive and behavioral strategies. The contexts focused are the school, community and family in an attempt to integrate and strengthen the efforts towards a real integral protection of children and adolescents.
