Children have been put at the center of the debate on homoparenthood, but they are not given the opportunity to explain what they think. Therefore it is relevant to investigate them, assuming that they produce meanings about reality and that their constructions take place in social interaction culturally contextualized. And we were open to hear them. The participants were 12 children between 6 and 9 years of age, institutionally sheltered in Recife-PE, who took part in videotaped conversation groups on the story "And Tango Makes Three" - two male penguins who adopt Tango, a baby penguin. The results qualitatively analyzed show that, for the children, homoaffectivity and homoparenthood maintain a certain distance. Homoaffectivity is stigmatized as forbidden; homoparenthood is perceived as a strange feeling, followed by a desire for assimilation of new content. The homoparental family is conceived as an atmosphere of affection and care for the children.
