This paper articulates the new pedagogical discourses-practices for early childhood, namely leadership and child coaching programs, to neoliberal rationality, with the ambition of recommending guidelines for a research agenda in the field of psychoanalysis. Starting from a scenario composed of news reports, pedagogical and advertising materials; considering that the theoretical-methodological apparatus of psychoanalysis can and should, according to the Freudian heritage, venture through the culture; we point out questions about the new forms of subjectivities and the ideals present in the field of the social imaginary in contemporary times. If playing is essential for the constitution of the psyche and if instead of make-believe, our children are making accounts, this should not happen without psychic consequences.
