Abstract

FREITAS, Bianca Rodrigues  and  PEREIRA, Eliane Regina. Graduating psychologists to work with groups. Pesqui. prát. psicossociais [online]. 2018, vol.13, n.1, pp.1-13. ISSN 1809-8908.

From a research developed with trainees of psychology of the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) that participated in conversation wheels in the waiting room of a Basic Health Unit, this article discusses how has been the formation for the work with groups in that university, what is understood by group, if and how this experience contributes to the training of psychology professionals. The results indicated that graduation has still been insufficient for the training of the public health professional, since the reality found is different and that promotion practices should be varied and effective. The experiences in the conversation wheels exemplified a way of acting in the public service, made possible the involvement of the trainees and showed the importance of health promotion.

Keywords : Professional training; Health promotion; Waiting room; Work with groups.
