Abstract
SANABIO, Virginia L. Souto Maior. The (non) extraction of the object a in psychosis: some notes on the Wolf Man. Rev. Estud. Lacan. [online]. 2010, vol.3, n.4, pp.p-pp. ISSN 1983-0769.
This paper investigates the Freudian clinical case known as The Man of the Wolves. The case opens a vast field of discussion by presenting a clinical polymorphism; however, our research limits itself to the discussion of the relation of this subject to the pulsating object that, in the Lacan’s theory, evokes the notion of jouissance, under the form of the object a. For the psychotic subject there was not an extraction of the object a; the initial advent of becoming subject is in a confused state, i. e., the distinction interior/exterior, in/out, I/other is blotted out. In order to discuss this theme our paper uses the topology, the psychoanalysis and Maurice Merleau-Ponty’s phenomelogy of perception
