Abstract

BERTONI, Paulo Gilberto. A note about the passions in Descartes: philosophical psychology and history of psychology. Rev. Psicol. UNESP [online]. 2015, vol.14, n.2, pp.01-09. ISSN 1984-9044.

The subject of this paper is passions. Its first aim is to present how the theme was treated in modern philosophy, specially with the french philosopher René Descartes (1596-1650). Another purpose intended, perhaps its most interesting aspect, is to show that Descartes’s exam of the passions is a kind of philosophical psychology that permits an interesting dialogue with the scientific project of Psychology after 19th century.

Keywords : passion; Descartes; philosophical psychology; history of psychology.
