Abstract

OSSWALD, Andrés M.. The Home and the Strange. An approach to the Studies on Dwelling: between Phenomenology and Psichoanalysis. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2018, vol.10, n.3, pp.64-86. ISSN 2175-2591.  https://doi.org/10.26823/RevistadoNUFEN.vol10.n03artigo38.

Giving that the privilege that both Phenomenology and Psychoanalysis concede to experience, the house will be considered here as the phenomenon of «being at home», i.e. as a certain manner of experience space and time. In first place, the analysis describes phenomenologicaly the homely experience and the experience of the strange. In this context, I propose to gadern the main aspects of the inquiry into the notions of «home world» (Heimwelt) and «alien world» (Fremdwelt), developed by Edmund Husserls in the 20´s and 30´s. Secondly, I expose Martin Heidegger´s appraisal on the opposition between the homely world of everyday life and the Unheimlichkeit in Sein und Zeit (1927). Afterwards I sumarise the distinction between the conceptis of Heimische (homely) and Unheimische (unhomely). Finally, I present the abnormal experience of home as is described by Sigmund Freud in his work Das Unheimlichkeit (1919).

Keywords : Dwelling; Husserl; Heidegger; Home; Freud.
