Pregnancy losses involve miscarriages and stillbirths/fetal deaths. Sometimes the pain experienced is not recognized by society, which impacts the grieving process. The objective of this research was to analyze the experience of women who experienced pregnancy loss from the perspective of Logotherapy and Existential Analysis. Semi-structured interviews were carried out with women with a history of miscarriages in follow-up at the Hospital Universitário Materno-Infantil in the city of São Luís-MA. The results were analyzed through thematic content analysis; revealed that the experience of loss was crossed by suffering, being understood as a period of crisis. Family support was presented as an important coping resource. It is concluded that the participants were faced with the Tragic Triad - pain, guilt and death and it was possible to find meaning in the face of inevitable suffering. The noetic resources were evident, as well as the human capacity to be free and responsible.
