The purpose of this article is to explore the concept of memory and "psychic apparatus" as described by Sigmund Freud in his "Project for a scientific psychology", 1895. The "apparatus" is a neuron network capable of transmiting and transforming energy that feeds the system, being a model of explanation of normal psychic activity function, as well as its possible disturbances. We consider that, in the apparatus dynamic, ideas precursory of current concepts in neuroscience and cognitive science are present.
