Abstract

The relationship between men and work is a matter of interest of psychologists due to its influence in the Quality of Life. Furthermore, the impact of the production chain in the environment leads to rethink production process and sustainable actions. The organizations aim, through the environmental administration, to incorporate principles of the sustainable development directed to human and environmental resources. The objective of the research is to identify how the organizations, listed in the Magazine "10 better companies to work in Brazil", in the issues from 2000 to 2010, records profile social environmental actions undertaken according the principles of the sustainability. The research method is descriptive and documental and uses the technique of content analysis. The content has been organized chronologically by year of the magazine and the coding is by grouping the units for phrases related to environmental actions. Further, this content was interpreted according to the criteria of Quality of Life at work. The results reveal that the organizations developed some social environmental actions that contribute to the improvement of the quality of the people's life and of the environment.
