This study aimed to identify the factors associated with common mental disorders (CMD) in public passenger transport drivers in a sample of 258 drivers belonging to two public transport companies. Data were collected using the Sociodemographic, Occupational and Occupational Stress Data Questionnaire, and the Self-Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ-20). We performed bivariate analyzes (Pearson’s chi-square) between all independent variables. For the analysis of the CMD concerning the independent variables, we used bivariate logistic regression analysis and odds ratio (OR), which consists of the ratio of chances of acquisition of the complaint between exposed and non-exposed. The results identified as predictors of common mental disorders the variables short break time, lack of social support, lack of autonomy, and work schedule.
