Abstract

The self reflection has been in the sights of several current studies since it is a way of assessing yourself, so helping individuals to monitor, and adjust their behavior when performing many activities. The specialized literature in the field of psychology suggests that teachers who develop self reflection habit are more effective in recognizing practices that may help, or disturb, the teaching-learning process. In addition, they become aware of the classroom challenges, thus being capable of understand and solve them. In this sense, the present study aims to describe the concepts of initial and continuing education process of teachers and their self reflective practices. It is expected to highlight the relevance of self reflection on teachers education and training. Finally, it is also expected to contribute with useful information for the Psychology teaching, initial and continuing education, especially in relation to the importance of self reflection practice.
