Created in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 2003, the project to establish a news agency specializing in Aids arrives in Mozambique's capital, Maputo, in 2009. This article analyzes the results obtained by the agency in Mozambique in the first four months of activity, during which it received on the spot support of the Brazilian's agency professionals. In this study, we observed the importance of science journalism to be independent, to consider the local culture and direct actions to specific audiences. The experience gained from this transnational initiative allows aspire the creation of a network news agency about Aids in the Community of Portuguese Language Countries.
