Abstract

VIANNA, Alexandra de Gouvêa; JESUS, Ariadne Fantesia de  and  FREITAS, Yago Pereira de. Drug addictions: what are we dealing with?. Analytica [online]. 2017, vol.6, n.10, pp.76-88. ISSN 2316-5197.

The article will approach the issue of abusive use of psychoactive substances, whether legal or illegal, based on theoretical psychoanalytic texts. We count with the contribution of the team and some of the patients of the Awakening Project -aimed at the care of alcohol abusers of other drugs - of Casa Verde Mental Health Assistance Center, located in the Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro. After visiting to the Projeto Despertar, we look at a bibliographical research with the intention of drawing a theoretical contribution to the clinic of the additions. We will work on the importance of listening to what is behind the type of destructive relationship with drugs, such as the precarious social bonds of patients in the clinic: family, school, college, work. One of the functions of the drug is to cover up the subject's shame of sustaining his desire. In the end, we elaborate a hypothesis that as addictions can manifest a mode of response of the subject to the new forms of subjectivation of the present time. We will also discuss the challenges of this clinic
