Abstract

CARVALHO, Magda Wacemberg Pereira Lima. Writing in Psychoanalysis and its Relationship with the Unconscious. Analytica [online]. 2022, vol.11, n.20, pp.1-17. ISSN 2316-5197.

This work consists of presenting reflections about the relationship between writing and psychoanalysis, considering the concept of the unconscious linked to the notion of writing. For that, we retrieve some of Freud's discussions about a theoretical model about psychic functioning as a memory device, whose content can only be accessed through language. In addition, we present Lacan's distinction between Lacanian letter and letter. Being the letter that is registered on the paper what gives materiality to the memory traces, writing presents itself, for psychoanalysis, as an instrument for the inscription of the unconscious speech.

Keywords : Language; Psychoanalysis; Writing; Unconscious.
