Abstract

RUDGE, Ana Maria. Anxiety and Thinking. Psychê [online]. 2005, vol.9, n.15, pp.37-48. ISSN 1415-1138.

The relationship between thinking and anxiety in the Freudian theory is studied. I argue for the convenience of including the negative hallucination as one of the forms of the primary hallucination, thus enabling an explanation for the difficulty, found in psychoanalytic clinic, of performing judgments that lead to the recognition of hostile real situations. After a revision of the subject, the second Freudian theory of the anxiety is considered a formulation that gives a more adequate account of the clinical fact in question.

Keywords : Anxiety; Signal of anxiety; Unpleasure; Thinking; Affect.
