Abstract

ALVES, MURILO DA SILVA  and  BORGES, LIVIA DE OLIVEIRA. Resistance at work as health strategy. Rev. psicol. polít. [online]. 2023, vol.23, n.57, pp.244-264.  Epub June 07, 2024. ISSN 2175-1390.

This essay aims to conceptualize and characterize the phenomenon of resistance at work, identifying its hidden strategies, manifested by workers as part of health. We start from a psychosociological approach and develop a reflective analysis in three parts: firstly, we weave conceptual considerations, we propose a conceptual model, listing attributes necessary for resistance at work; secondly, we discussed hidden resistances and their daily manifestations in work situations, identifying and describing them; lastly, we announce resistance as part and expression of health, aimed at its maintenance, prevention, and promotion. We consider the phenomenon to be convergent with the social praxis of maintaining health and life, since the immanent powers of the resistance processes in everyday life are alternatives for freedom and possible strategies constituting positive indicators of workers and work health.

Keywords : resistance; psychosociology; work; health-disease process; strategy.
