Abstract

KUPFER, Maria Cristina Machado. The contribution of psychoanalysis to the studies of the family and education. Psicol. USP [online]. 1992, vol.3, n.1-2, pp.77-82. ISSN 1678-5177.

In this paper the psychoanalytical conceptions of Family and Education are examined, in an attempt to demonstrate that for Psychoanalysis the-family is not conceived of as a module of social life but as a structure in whose core the subjects constitute their sexuality. That is why the relations between Family and Education have no place in Psychoanalysis. However the writings of Jurandir Freire Costa, a psychoanalyst who studies the relationships between the socio-cultural and the psychoanalytical determinants, contribute to the integration of the sociological and psychoanalytical conceptions of Family and Education.

Keywords : Family; Education; Psychoanalysis.
